Brand logo

Perhaps all creation begins with a simple encounter.
Two horizontal lines and three vertical lines form the simplest coordinate system, and also the original grid of our understanding of the world. This is not only the intersection of the fates of our three founders, but also the inherent destiny of the number three. Three gives birth to all things, flowing endlessly.
River is the form of time, the resolute determination to never turn back, the courage to surge forward, the inclusiveness, the destruction and rebirth.
Between structural stability and flowing freedom, all creation arises.
Brand tone
Natural raw minerals: the texture of the earth refined by time
We insist on using natural raw Zisha clay, rejecting chemical additives and excessive embellishment, preserving the most authentic granular texture and breathability of the ore. The clay is taken from deep mountain veins, undergoing long aging, natural weathering, and hand-pounding, refined by time. Each piece of clay has a unique sandy feel, color, and texture, carrying the original imprint of the earth, giving the objects a pure and unrepeatable natural base from the very beginning.

Modern Aesthetics
Breaking free from the constraints of traditional Zisha (purple clay) forms, we use Zisha as a medium to deconstruct classical imagery and translate contemporary emotions. Not confined to standardized shapes and patterns, we blend minimalism, Eastern Zen, and contemporary aesthetics, using clean lines, restrained blank spaces, and metaphorical structures to create teaware suitable for contemporary life. It is no longer just a container for brewing tea, but a vessel for expressing your personal aesthetics and settling your inner peace—in the fast-paced daily life, a Zisha piece that matches your temperament is a silent expression of yourself hidden on the tea table.

Handicrafts
All pieces are handcrafted by artisans, from kneading the clay and shaping it to finishing and carving, rejecting assembly-line replication. Every step relies on the artisan's hands to communicate with the clay; the warmth, strength, and intention of their hands are all imbued into the objects. Those subtle handmade marks are not flaws, but unique imprints of life, carrying the artisan's dedication and giving each piece warmth and soul.

Unafraid of time
Fine Zisha teapots withstand the test of time, becoming increasingly warm and lustrous with use. These pieces are not meant for display or collection; rather, they develop a patina through daily brewing and the gentle caress of your fingers, their color becoming ever more captivating. Each use leaves its unique mark, allowing the object and the person to slowly connect and grow together. Time never diminishes its beauty; instead, it endows it with a unique texture and stories, accompanying it through the long journey of daily life.

A brand new concept of Zisha (purple clay) creation
Fusion
Sanchuan officially proposed the original creative concept of "fusion vessel" for Zisha (purple clay) teapots, breaking the boundaries of traditional vessel shapes such as plain, floral, ribbed, and square vessels. Using "deconstruction-refinement-reconstruction" as its core method, it integrates philosophical reflection, emotional tension, and spatiotemporal narratives into Zisha teapots that are also functional. The brand achieves a fundamental breakthrough from "shape-making" to "concrete environment," from "biomimicry" to "divine imitation," rejecting formal hybridization and insisting on the deep integration of sculptural language, ideological concepts, and daily functions. Rooted in profound traditional craftsmanship and expressed through contemporary art refinement, Sanchuan creates a new species of Zisha teapots that tells its own story and engages in spiritual dialogue. This transforms Zisha from merely a tea-brewing vessel into a contemporary art medium that carries the emotions of the times and connects the self with the universe, continuing the vitality of Zisha through innovative creations.

Brand Origin: The Birth of the Rabbit
At Sanchuan, we always use design as our pen and craftsmanship as our backbone, allowing traditional Zisha (purple clay) pottery to grow into a completely new form within a contemporary context. This initial aspiration began with the encounter between founder Liang Chuan and an origami jade rabbit.
I. Breaking Through: Knocking on the Door of Innovation Amidst Confusion
After more than a decade of cultivating the traditional industry, founder Liang Chuan encountered a creative bottleneck, searching for a new direction amidst burnout. By chance, she entered the Intangible Cultural Heritage Training Program at Tongji University. There,
she gained a renewed understanding of the meaning of intangible cultural heritage—inheritance is not about replication, but about revitalizing old crafts through breakthroughs in materials and forms. This concept is the starting point for Sanchuan.
II. Inspiration: A Piece of Origami Illuminates a New Expression of Zisha
The training program's theme inspired Liang Chuan to create a "Zisha rabbit unlike any other." Sanchuan designer Li west drew inspiration from children's origami rabbits and decided to use purple clay to recreate the light creases of paper, breaking the constraints of traditional figurative shapes.

This creative idea received high praise from the professor, and the team repeatedly refined the drawings, ultimately finalizing the simple and elegant origami jade rabbit form, laying the core foundation for subsequent creations.
III. Refinement: Crafting with Ingenuity to Bring Design to Life
Sanchuan consistently adheres to the philosophy of "design and practicality coexisting." Based on the fairness cup, the team created a complete tea set, including coasters and teacups for the origami jade rabbit. Months of repeated adjustments were spent ensuring the design was suitable for every detail of daily use.
To recreate the warm, smooth texture of origami, the team ultimately chose Huanglongshan white clay—which, after firing, exhibits a texture resembling mutton fat jade, retaining the granular texture of purple clay while possessing the lightness and translucency of origami, perfectly presenting the design's original intent.

IV. Original Aspiration: The name Sanchuan begins with passion and ends with perseverance.
When the piece was completed, the master named it "Origami Jade Rabbit" and encouraged Sanchuan to persist on the path of innovation. Until the signboard was hung up, the brand's core was finally clear: Sanchuan Contemporary Design and Production.
We always practice the philosophy that "sincerity never goes out of style," infusing traditional Zisha pottery with a contemporary soul through dual innovation in form and concept. This path may be lonely, but Sanchuan will always carry this original aspiration, ensuring that every piece becomes a dialogue between tradition and the present.
